Energy bills are one of the biggest costs in a UK household, but appliance labels rarely tell you what something costs in pounds and pence. We take typical wattages, apply the current Ofgem price cap, and show the sums so you can check them.

We update our figures whenever the price cap changes. Where we recommend a type of product, it's based on running costs and features, not on which brand pays the most.
